a) Select the most appropriate & reliable Air conditioner supplier who provides efficient after sales services.

b) Select the proper cooling capacity (BTU/Hr) required for the area and correct location to install the indoor & outdoor units by consulting qualified Air conditioning Engineer.

c) Do not have under capacity or over capacity for the area.

- Installing under capacity in the area will reduce the life span of the A/C unit and also not provide comfortable temperature. Further, frequent breakdowns may occur due to the over working of the A/C units.
- Installing over capacity A/C units will be an unnecessary expenditure and also, at times may be uncomfortable due to high cool air blowing.

d) Regular Maintenance

- Periodical service maintenance will ensure effective and efficient functioning of your A/C unit. Further, it will avoid costly repairs & sudden breakdowns which in turn will reduce running cost.

e) Maintain comfortable temperature by settling the thermostat at between 23°c - 26°c DB.

f) Avoid doing following:
- Overcooling the area by setting thermostat to very low temperature
- Obstructing the outdoor unit air flow.
- Exceeding split type A/C piping beyond recommended length.
